A consistent and evolving
process which is proactive in nature is the spirit behind
our approach to the development of standards and
procedures.
As
a part of our roadmap towards CMM level 3/4, we would like
to take this opportunity to give you a perspective on the
type of standards and procedures that we have built as
part of our standard software process at TCI
Technologies.
This is in essence our Quality Management System (QMS).
Historically Waterfall, Incremental, Evolutionary, Spiral,
Iterative and Prototyping strategies have been extensively
used in various contexts. As part of our standard
methodology we are focusing on spiral methodology and
appropriate standards in support thereof.
Our
QMS details Software Engineering Processes and Software
Project Management Processes. The former deal with core
engineering activities of Requirements Management, Design,
Implementation, Testing and Deployment whereas the latter
deal with issues related to project management, planning,
including procedures and methodologies for review to track
of the progress of any software project taking corrective
action wherever necessary. The process thus deems itself
proactive rather than reactive |
